Seton House: A Designated Pilgrimage Site for the Jubilee of Hope in 2025.
Bishop Gregory Bittman has designated local pilgrimage sites throughout the Diocese of Nelson so the faithful may receive plenary indulgences without traveling to Rome. Seton House of Prayer and Retreat Centre has been named the designated pilgrimage site for the North Okanagan region of the Diocese.
To obtain a plenary indulgence during the Jubilee Year the faithful must:
- Be in a state of grace with detachment from all sin, even venial.
- Go to sacramental confession, receive Holy Communion and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.
- Holy Communion and the prayer for the Holy Father should ideally be done on the same day the pilgrimage or act of devotion is completed.
- The pilgrimage is to the grounds of Seton House only. There is no access to the grounds or buildings without arranging access with staff prior to your visit.
